The Faxon Firearms 5.56/300 BLK M16 Bolt Carrier Group - TiN (Gold) PVD is a high-performance bolt carrier group that exceeds MIL-SPEC standards. Designed to meet the demanding needs of our customers, this bolt carrier group offers superior performance and value.

One of the key features of this bolt carrier group is the use of 9310 tool steel for the bolt. This steel is stronger than the commonly used C158 steel, ensuring durability and reliability. In addition, the assembly is nitrided, which increases the surface hardness, reduces resistance, and provides superior corrosion resistance compared to traditional chrome and phosphated bolt carrier groups.

To further ensure the quality of our product, all bolts undergo a fully MPI test to check for any defects or flaws in the material. The bolt lugs are also chamfered at a 45-degree angle, guaranteeing reliable action even under high-pressure hand loads and fast lightweight actions.

The extractor is made from S7 tool steel, which undergoes full heat treatment and shot peening according to MIL-SPEC standards. This, along with the QPQ salt bath nitriding, ensures a durable and reliable extractor.

The carrier and key are made from MIL-SPEC 8620 steel and 4140 steel respectively, both of which undergo full heat treatment. The carrier is superfinished and features forward assist serrations, while the key is fully and properly staked and permatex sealed.

The TiN PVD coating and salt bath nitriding provide a stylish and durable gold finish that not only enhances the visual appeal of the bolt carrier group but also offers superior resistance to wear and corrosion.

Please note that when using bolt carriers with barrels that have not been specifically checked by Faxon for headspacing, it is essential to conduct a headspace check to ensure safe and reliable function. Faxon recommends Pacific Tool & Gauge headspace kits for all measurements.
