Types of Hearing & Eye Protection

• Passive Earmuffs – Traditional sound-blocking earmuffs with high NRR ratings. Simple, reliable, no batteries needed.
• Earplugs – Foam, silicone, or custom-molded plugs. Low-profile option that works under earmuffs for extra protection.
• Shooting Glasses – ANSI Z87.1+ rated lenses that protect against ejected brass, debris, and ricochets. Available in clear, tinted, and interchangeable lens options.

Choosing the Right Protection

Look for hearing protection with an NRR (Noise Reduction Rating) of 22 or higher—indoor ranges and rifle calibers demand more protection. Electronic muffs are worth the investment if you shoot with others or take instruction. Double up with foam plugs under muffs for magnum calibers or suppressor-host guns. Shooting glasses must be ANSI Z87.1 rated for impact resistance; regular sunglasses aren't adequate. Wraparound styles offer the best peripheral coverage.
