The Faxon Firearms 5.56/300 BLK Gunner Light Weight Bolt Carrier Group - TiN (Gold) PVD is a high-quality and durable bolt carrier group that is designed to enhance the performance of your firearm. We have carefully selected the QPQ method of Salt Bath Nitride for all the components of this bolt carrier group. This coating increases the natural slickness of the carrier, resulting in less gas and pressure required to operate. Additionally, the QPQ SBN process seals the components against corrosion and makes them extremely wear-resistant.

One of the key improvements we have made to this bolt carrier group is the use of 9310 tool steel for the bolt. This material is stronger and is nitrided to increase surface hardness, reduce resistance, and provide superior corrosion resistance compared to typical chrome and phosphated bolt carrier groups. To ensure the highest quality, all bolts undergo full magnetic particle inspection (MPI) testing to ensure the material is sound and defect-free.

We have also chamfered the bolt lugs at a 45-degree angle to ensure reliable action, even with high-pressure hand loads and fast lightweight actions. Additionally, our bolt carrier groups are Superfinished to reduce friction, increase smoothness of operation, and reduce fouling. They are fully auto-rated and compatible with full-auto fire control groups and new multi-stage trigger systems.

For durability and reliability, our gas keys are staked using grade 8 fasteners, ensuring a lifetime of service. As a testament to our confidence in the quality of our products, all of our carriers are laser-engraved with the Faxon Shield after passing all quality inspections.

Technical specifications of this bolt carrier group include a bolt made of 9310 tool steel with full MIL-SPEC heat treatment and shot peening, an extractor made of S7 tool steel, and a carrier and key made of MIL-SPEC 8620 and 4140 steel respectively. The carrier also features forward assist serrations and is fully heat-treated. The cam pin is made of 4140 pre-hardened steel and all components are Salt Bath Nitrided for increased durability and corrosion resistance.
