The Faxon Firearms 5.56/300 BLK Gunner Lightweight Bolt Carrier Group is a high-quality component designed to enhance the performance and reliability of your firearm. We have used the QPQ method of Salt Bath Nitride coating on all the carrier's components, providing them with increased slickness that requires less gas and pressure to operate smoothly.

Improvements have been made to this bolt carrier group, including the use of 9310 tool steel for the bolt. This material is stronger and, when nitrided, enhances surface hardness, decreases resistance, and offers superior corrosion resistance compared to traditional chrome and phosphated bolt carrier groups. To ensure quality, all bolts undergo full MPI testing to ensure their soundness and absence of defects.

The bolt lugs have been chamfered at a 45-degree angle to ensure reliable action, even with high-pressure handloads and fast lightweight actions. Our Bolt Carrier Groups are Superfinished, reducing friction, increasing smoothness of operation, and minimizing fouling. They are also full-auto rated and compatible with full-auto fire control groups and new multi-stage trigger systems.

The back of the lugs is chamfered to guarantee reliability.

The extractor is constructed from S7 Tool Steel, fully heat-treated, and shot peened per MIL-SPEC. The carrier and key are made of MIL-SPEC 8620 steel, fully heat-treated, with forward assist serrations and M16 (FULL-AUTO) compatibility. The carrier also features fully and properly staked key, with Permatex sealing for added durability.

This lightweight bolt carrier group, weighing 6.32 ounces with the key (excluding the bolt or any pins), is completed with a QPQ salt bath nitrided cam pin made of 4140 pre-hardened steel.
